For our Caracas site, we are looking for a professional to join our team as Operations & Technical Head.
In this role you will lead the end-to-end technical and operational strategy for the business. The role serves as the brand’s technical custodian and Rum Master, ensuring portfolio excellence while directing all local regulatory affairs and innovation pipelines to guarantee business continuity and growth.
Responsibilities:
Supervise production, blending, and aging processes at strategic co-packers’ facilities to guarantee liquid integrity.
Manage all sanitary registries, production permits, and regulatory filings before national authorities, and ensure the timely renewal of all sanitary registries and operational licenses.
Guarantee 100% compliance with "Ron de Venezuela" DOC standards across all production and maturation stages.
Serve as the "Rum Master" for the operation, ensuring technical excellence, sensory profile, and consistency of the entire portfolio.
Lead quality control protocols and technical tastings to maintain high-quality standards for both local and export markets.
Lead product innovation processes from a technical perspective, overseeing new liquid development and packaging adaptations.
Oversee and mentor the Operations & Supply Chain Planner, ensuring the accuracy of supply data while staying involved in critical planning decisions.
Requirements:
12+ years of senior leadership in the Spirits industry, track record in distillation, aging, quality, and product development.
Master-level knowledge of sensory analysis, liquor legislation, sanitary regulations, and DOC protocols.
High integrity, "lead by example" attitude, passion for craftsmanship, and the ability to bridge technical requirements with business strategy. High-level negotiation skills.
Degree: Engineering degree (Chemical, Agronomy, Food Science) or related field. Postgraduate studies are highly preferred.
Travel Required:
40% (High-level representation and hands-on site leadership)
